Graduate Certificate Programs
Our graduate certificate programs are the perfect choice
for registered nurses wanting to specialize in various
aspects of nursing.
School Nurse Certification Program
The curriculum includes information of specific relevance to school
nursing, with emphasis placed on prevention of illness, health
education, health promotion and health maintenance.
Upon completing 30 credits in required courses, students are eligible for New Jersey state school nurse certification. Up to 15 credits of previous course work may be transferred to meet certification requirements.
Courses are offered in the evening on a full-time or part-time basis. The supervised field visit element is held during daytime school hours.
Admission requirements
- A baccalaureate degree from a regionally accredited college or university;
- a cumulative B average;
- current licensure as a registered professional nurse in New Jersey;
- professional liability insurance;
- health clearance prior to field experience;
- current CPR and AED certifications.

Certificate in Nursing Administration
This program is designed to meet the needs of nurses interested in
moving into beginning-level management positions as well as nurses who
are just starting a first-level management or specialty position. It is
a 12-credit graduate-level certificate that requires completion of
4x3-credit theory courses. All courses are offered in the evening and
there is no clinical component.
Admission requirements
- Baccalaureate degree in nursing from a National League for Nursing accredited program;
- a cumulative B average (including B average in nursing);
- current licensure as a registered professional nurse.

Certificate in Nursing Case Management
Offered for nurses who have recently started working in a case
management position or who are considering doing so, this 12-credit
program features courses in case management, financial & operations
management of integrated healthcare systems and legal & risk management.
